5 tips for natural, healthy scalp care

The skin on your head has a delicate bacterial balance, just like the skin on your face does. Your hair strands are regularly affected by pollution, chlorine, sun, dye, and the weather. And just like your face, if you're not cleansing your scalp properly the hair follicles can become clogged with bacteria/sweat and excess oil and irritate your scalp, leading to hair thinning.

Many of our life routines and daily habits can also make our scalps become unhealthy leading to dry, itchy, and flaky scalps. Stress and poor eating patterns can lead to poor scalp health. Ultimately for you to have healthy hair you must first have a fresh and healthy scalp!

1.SCALP CARE IS SKINCARE

Treating your scalp like your skin is the attitude to have. Just like your skin, your scalp needs a weekly if not twice weekly exfoliation and mask to cleanse the skin and follicles.
